4ties shows respect to Hip-hop Legends in Ghana in new Video “Hip-hop Still Alive”. The concept of the song is intended to resurrect hip hop culture and genre of music in Ghana. It’s important to note that hip hop has been part of the Ghanaian music for as long as possible in the form of hip life.

However, mainstream hip hop has been on the decline in the last couple of years. The message in the song is thus entreating and the consumers of music to keep the genre alive and relevant in our contemporary times. 

In the song 4ties pays huge tribute to various Arts here in Ghana who have contributed their quota in keeping hip hop alive across generations from Obrafour, Okyeame Kwame and co to present day Arts like Sarkodie, Medikal, Pappy kojo, Joey B, Edem etc…   as a way of acknowledging their efforts. He vows to keep the torch of hip hop lit in his time as others have done. 

Hip hop still alive is a very creative song from word play to the use of similes and metaphors. It’s so pleasing to the ears and might get u out of your seat on the first instance of hearing it being played.  The song intertwines both old generation and new generation mix of sweet melodies of hip hop in a Ghanaian context.  Hip hop still alive!!!
